No ticket sales in Siracusa for big match against Trapani: high risk of fan clashes

The Prefect of Trapani Daniela Lupo has ordered a ban on selling tickets to residents of the province of Syracuse for the Serie D match Trapani – Siracusa scheduled for April 7 at the provincial stadium. This decision was taken in consideration of the assessments made by the committee for the safety of sports events, which highlighted the high risk levels of the match due to the intense rivalry between the fans, which has resulted in serious disturbances in the past. The return match was also played without any away fans, as per the decision of the Prefect of Syracuse. Following the proposal of the Police Chief, and in line with the decision for the previous match, the sale of tickets has been extended to Trapani supporters in the away section.
