More violence in prisons: two officers beaten by inmates in Enna

Two prison guards at the Enna prison were attacked by inmates on two separate days. The first attack occurred yesterday morning (April 17, 2024) by a young inmate accused of murder, while today two inmates, one of whom is a non-EU national, assaulted another guard. The Union of Prison Police Unions states that out of a staff of over 160 at Enna, there are only around 90 agents for 216 inmates.
