More landings in Lampedusa: 1,158 migrants arrived today

A total of 332 migrants aboard seven boats were rescued by Italian coast guard and finance guard vessels in the Sar area and off the coast of Lampedusa. This brings the total number of arrivals to the island to 1,158 people from 23 different landings. Additionally, 190 migrants from the latest seven groups have been transferred from the Imbriacola hotspot to Porto Empedocle via a ferry. The migrants on board the seven boats reported setting sail from Sabratah in Libya, as well as Sfax and Mahdia in Tunisia.
