Missing girl found in Giarre near Taormina

In the night between the 9th and 10th of May, Denise D’Arró, the 17-year-old girl whose disappearance had been reported by her mother the previous day at the Taormina police station, was found in the area of Giarre. The mother had reported that the daughter had left their home in Trappitello in Messina on the evening of May 2nd, on foot, with her dog, and had not been heard from since. The Prefecture activated the provincial plan for the search of missing persons, involving various police forces, firefighters with search dogs, drones, and other technical equipment, as well as volunteers and civil protection associations. The search led to the girl being found in a countryside house in Catania. She is in good health and her disappearance was not due to any accident, as she had voluntarily left home without informing anyone.
