Miss Italy: Raffaella from Messina Wins in Mirto, with Five Others to Regional Finals

A 21-year-old girl named Raffaella Melita from Messina won the Miss Mirto stage of Miss Italy, which took place at the Museum of Costume and Fashion in Sicily. Despite participating with a knee brace on her right leg due to a recent injury, Raffaella was awarded the coveted Miss Mirto title, giving her access to the regional finals. Five other girls also qualified for the next phase of the competition. The event was organized by Anna Salanitro, with the patronage of the towns of Mirto, Capri Leone, and Frazzanò. The next stages of Miss Italy will be held in other provinces of Sicily, with the regional finals taking place on July 24th at Lipari Castle’s amphitheater. The national final will be held on September 8th and will likely be televised by Rai.
