A 15-month-old girl is the one missing at sea after the shipwreck that occurred, during the night, off the coast of Lampedusa. At the Imbriacola hotspot, there is the mother who cannot find peace. The woman, when the small boat sank, around midnight, was not able to hold the little girl who drowned. According to the accounts of the 44 survivors, the 7-meter iron boat left from Sfax in Tunisia at 10 p.m. last Thursday. The 45 migrants paid a thousand euros each for the crossing that moved, heading towards Sicily, using a cell phone application.

The boat overturned during the rescue operations by the Mare Go ship as it approached, it is learned, the boat on board of which there was also a 15-month-old girl who is missing. The incident took place in Maltese waters. An Italian Coast Guard unit then took on board the rescued migrants and brought them to Lampedusa. Just while sailing towards the island a woman declared she couldn’t find her daughter. Currently, the search for the missing girl is underway with a 300-class Coast Guard patrol boat.
