Mignani studies return to 3-5-2 with Gomes on the field and Insigne on the bench: probable lineups

The whispers during the last Palermo training sessions suggest a return to the 3-5-2 formation for the first leg of the playoff semifinal that the team will play tomorrow evening (May 20) at the Barbera against Venezia. Against Sampdoria, coach Michele Mignani mixed things up and chose a 3-4-2-1 formation, with Brunori dropping back alongside Insigne in support of striker Soleri. Tomorrow, however, Palermo will face Venezia, who always plays with a 3-5-2 formation under Vanoli. To match up in midfield, Gomes seems destined to return to the starting lineup, while Brunori would move forward again. The one to be sacrificed would be Insigne, who made many errors in the previous game. In defense, Nedelcearu returns after suspension, but the injured Ceccaroni is unavailable. Graves and Marconi are in contention, both of whom performed very well against Sampdoria. These are the probable line-ups for tomorrow’s match, kicking off at 8.30 pm, with Giua from Olbia as the referee.
