Matteo Messina Denaro: a chameleon with two other identities

The article reveals two new false identities used by Matteo Messina Denaro during his time in hiding, as well as new details about the boss’s life. Despite being wanted by police across Italy, he was seen going to Palermo with one of his associates, Andrea Bonafede, to get tattoos and eat at a restaurant in the city center. These new investigative findings will be used by the Palermo Prosecutor’s Office in the appeal of Bonafede’s sentence, who was convicted of aiding and abetting for 6 years and 8 months. In the appeal, prosecutors have included several previously unknown episodes, such as the two aliases used by the boss, who told a tattoo artist his name was Vito Firreri and an appliance repairman in Campobello di Mazara that his name was Averna.
