Marsala bids farewell to Felice Licari, director of the municipal art gallery and former basketball referee

Marsala mourns the death of Felice Licari, administrative director of the municipal art gallery and well-known in the world of sports for his experience as a former basketball referee and founder of Panatletico. The news was announced by the municipal administration, stating that Licari passed away in Pavia, where he was hospitalized, at the age of 68. Licari was highly respected for his involvement in sports, especially basketball where he served as a referee in the A2 male league. He was also a founding member of Panatletico Marsala and the Association “BattiCuore Batti onlus”. Licari had been battling illness for some time, and his condition had worsened in recent days. Tributes from the sports and cultural worlds poured in following his passing. The funeral will be held on Friday, March 29 at 10:30 am at the church of San Pietro on via XI maggio.
