Mario Turco, father of Tgs news director, has died

Today Mario Turco passed away (in the photo), he would have turned 82 on May 3. Father of our colleague and head of news at Tgs, Marina Turco, he was a construction entrepreneur in the public construction sector. In Palermo, his company had quickly built the external spaces at the Barbera Stadium for the 1990 World Cup, the Termini Imerese Courthouse, the Menfi Carabinieri barracks, a batch of social housing in Corleone and in the same Palermo. He was a historic member of Ance and the then Assindustria. Condolences from the management, editorial team, technicians, and administrative staff of Tgs, Rgs, and the Giornale di Sicilia are extended to Marina and her family.
