Man arrested in Floridia after 13 kilos of hashish found in snack packages

An unblemished 44-year-old man was arrested in Floridia by the Carabinieri of Siracusa for possession of drugs: he was hiding 13 kilograms of hashish in well-sealed packages of snacks, energy bars, and various sweet products in a garage. According to investigators, more than 185 thousand doses could have been obtained and if the drugs were introduced into the market, they would have yielded over 150 thousand euros. The drugs were seized for further laboratory tests. The man, by order of the judicial authority, was placed under house arrest.
