Luigi Nacci, former deputy mayor and president of the municipal council, has died in Erice.

Erice mourns the death of Luigi Nacci. A general practitioner, he was 69 years old and had been ill for some time. Much of his life had been devoted to politics. Luigi Nacci had been twice president of the Erice city council and had served as deputy mayor to Ignazio Sanges from 2002 to 2007. In 2017, he ran for mayor.

After losing to Daniela Toscano in the election, he decided to contribute to the community, putting himself at the service of the people.

He seemed to have overcome a serious illness, but instead suffered a setback and, despite treatment and his strong willpower, passed away. Numerous expressions of affection and support for his family have been received from friends, relatives, and acquaintances.
