Lipari: Salvatore Spanò’s visit to the island after reuniting with sister Angela after 60 years

Explain the following article briefly:

In Lipari, Mrs. Angelina Spanò Corrieri reunited with her brother Salvatore after 60 years. Salvatore returned from Australia, where he lives in Sydney. Angelina is 87 years old and Salvatore is 79. They are the only surviving siblings out of 8 children.

The visit to Lipari is a quick 24-hour stop. Salvatore arrived with his wife and two grandchildren and they will leave this morning (Saturday, April 20) to continue their tour in Sicily and the rest of Italy, before returning to the eighth Aeolian island where 40,000 islanders live, now in their fourth generation.

After visiting many relatives on the island and enjoying delicious local food, Salvatore, his wife, and grandchildren Holly and Dylan visited the place where he used to work with his grandfather as a child: the Caolino quarry in Quattropani, the highest village in Lipari. There, he found the bulldozer he used to operate with his grandfather, now a museum piece. Once again, he was moved and emotional – just like when he reunited with his sister Angelina – and in dialect, he whispered, “I never thought I would find it again…”

The quarry, spanning 40,000 square meters and historically owned by Italcementi, used to extract kaolinite for the production of ceramics and cosmetics. It was one of the main economic activities on the island in the past, employing 50 people. After decades of abandonment, the quarry was purchased eight years ago by entrepreneur Massimo Lentsch from Heidelberg Cement for 80,000 euros. He turned it into an information point for tourists, similar to what he did with the pumice mountain on the island.
