Lipari, Flavofish arrive at Canneto beach: they will catch the plastic.

#Messina
The Rotary Club in Lipari, a popular tourist destination in Italy, has installed two Flavofish – Plastic-eating Fish structures on the Canneto beach. These metal fish-shaped containers serve as recycling bins for plastic waste. The installation is part of the “End Plastic Soup” international project. The structures, measuring 4×2 meters and 3×1.5 meters, have a dual purpose: to collect plastic waste and raise awareness about pollution and its impact on the food chain. This project, initiated by Rotary District 2110, has spread to other tourist areas in Italy and gained international recognition.
