Kicks and Punches After Game: 6 Players from Virtus Messina and Atletico Pagliara Receive a Two-Year Ban

Six players from the Virtus Messina and Atletico Pagliara soccer teams have been banned from sporting events for two years following a post-match brawl. The incident took place on March 5th when a violent fight broke out between players from both teams upon returning to the locker rooms at the Gescal Stadium. The players involved are amateurs from the regional league of third-category soccer. The ban was issued by Police Commissioner Gabriella Ioppolo after an investigation by the anti-crime division of the police. The players must also report to a police station on match days during the ban.
