Investigation into Casteldaccia tragedy: the five deceased workers should not have entered the tank. Quadrifoglio Group headquarters sealed.

The headquarters of Quadrifoglio Group, in via Milano in Partinico, has been placed under seizure. The entrance is guarded by a police patrol. Yesterday (May 6), the police went to the company’s headquarters, where four of the 5 workers who died in the Casteldaccia tragedy were working, taking documents, contract of assignment and the cards of the workers who worked on behalf of the company in Casteldaccia.

The 5 deceased workers were not supposed to go down inside the lifting station. The contract of assignment stipulated with Amap, the municipal company that had given their company, Quadrifoglio group, the contract for the works, provided for the aspiration of the sewage to take place from the surface through a tanker and for the staff not to go underground. This explains why none of the victims were wearing masks or had gas alert, a device that measures the concentration of hydrogen sulfide, the gas that later killed them.

Meanwhile, after learning of the death of his workers, who died yesterday in Casteldaccia while working on the sewer network, Antonio Di Salvo, 67, owner of Quadrifoglio Srl, is returning to Sicily from the United States where he is for a family member’s wedding. His partner Epifanio Alsazia is one of the five victims.
