Excellence in the Family: the work carried out by Salvatore together with his sons Ruben and Cristian, who are now the owners of the company, ensures the production of unique garments, authentic expressions of Italian haute couture. We are talking about Infantino and its custom-made garments. A family-run business that since its foundation has focused on the value of family, from roles to tasks to relationships.
How did you start? “It all started – Ruben and Cristian explain – with my father, who, together with his brother and sister, moved for work from a small town in Agrigento, Santa Elisabetta, in the early 1960s to Misilmeri, where they started their custom tailoring business. Later, with marriage, our mother Antonina also joined the company, and finally us, the children, who now carry it forward.” After various events, today production focuses on elite garments for clients who only choose the best.
What have you passed on to your children? “Respect – Salvatore Infantino answers – for work and for people. A phrase that I always wanted them to understand is: ‘Work with science and conscience. Science is needed to create the garment according to requirements, rules, conscience leads you to have human values with those who receive the product, who are not ‘chickens to pluck’ but people to dress.” If you could go back in time, what would you be proud to show your children? “As a small workshop – Salvatore Infantino continues – has been transformed into a great reality that I never imagined… and there is still room to grow!”.
