Husband and wife arrested with 6 and a half kilos of cocaine in van

A married couple was caught traveling in a van with nearly 7 kilograms of cocaine by police in Ragusa. The couple, aged 47 and 52, were arrested and taken to prison in Ragusa and Catania. The cocaine, which had a street value of over a million euros, was seized. The couple had tried to evade a police checkpoint but were stopped and found to have hidden the drugs in the van. The packages of cocaine were coated in a greasy substance with a strong menthol smell, likely in an attempt to avoid detection by police dogs.
