Genius of Palermo returns: a testament to talent and innovation in the city

Explain the following article in brief:

The secular genius of the city, much older than the Santuzza, less triumphant and more everyday, protector of artists and dreamers. The Genio di Palermo returns for the third year, organized by the Vie dei Tesori foundation together with the University, in line with the University’s Third Mission.

The event opens on April 19th and will continue for three weekends until May 5th, exploring about twenty places and over twenty-five experiences, many of which are new.

“A testimonial of the talent and innovation in the city – explains Laura Anello, president of the Vie dei Tesori Foundation – this year there will be special places and the idea is to make these places places where you can learn. We want to tell the knowledge that comes from the university and cultural institutions and is spread in the streets.”

“A special moment – explains Massimo Midiri, Rector of the University of Palermo – we want to transfer information and discoveries from the academic field to the city community. We always think of our young people and we can proudly say that we have reached the milestone of 47,000 enrolled students and 16% of master’s degrees, the final step between the academic world and work.”
