Gas leak causes explosion in house in Sciacca: elderly woman rescued
An explosion occurred inside a home on Avigliano Street in Sciacca. A 77-year-old retired woman was taken to the emergency room of Giovanni Paolo II hospital as a precaution. The deflagration was triggered by a gas leak from a cylinder connected to the kitchen cooktop. The LPG came into contact with the electrical impulse of a stove. The firefighters secured the residence, declaring it uninhabitable. The elderly woman, although shocked, is doing well. The military police in Sciacca, with the assistance of the firefighters, are investigating the causes of the incident.
