Four boys arrested for setting fire and destroying furniture at former La Carrubba school in Canicattì

In the former school “La Carrubba” in Canicattì, Italy, there was another act of vandalism, but this time the perpetrators were caught by the police. Four individuals, three of whom were minors, entered the building, which is now a social center, and set fire to the theater curtain and destroyed the remaining furniture. The police had increased their presence in the area after a previous vandalizing incident that caused around 200,000 euros in damages. They noticed suspicious movements within the building during a patrol and decided to intervene. At the same time, some citizens reported hearing noises and called emergency services. The police found the four individuals demolishing the furniture and immediately apprehended them. They have been charged with aggravated damage and handed over to their parents. Until a few weeks ago, the building was temporarily hosting a primary school, but it was recently returned to the city after structural renovations.
