Four arrests made in Trapani for robbery and theft
The Carabinieri of the Trapani company have arrested 4 known individuals (3 men aged 25, 34, and 53, and a 37-year-old woman) for the crimes of home robbery, theft, and unauthorized use of credit and payment cards. The investigation, coordinated by the Trapani Public Prosecutor’s Office and initiated following a robbery report in October by a 48-year-old man, revealed serious evidence of guilt against the four suspects. It was documented that the 37-year-old woman and the 34-year-old man, disguised and armed with a knife, first committed a robbery in a home stealing the victim’s cell phone and wallet containing 200 euros and two pre-paid cards with which they made purchases in Trapani in the following days. Furthermore, the man, after a few days, attempted another home robbery (again with the threat of a knife) to steal a parked car. During the same period, in collusion with the other two individuals, they broke into a bakery in Custonaci, stealing appliances and groceries.
At the conclusion of the investigation and based on the evidence gathered, the 34-year-old man was taken to the Trapani prison, the woman was placed under house arrest, and the other two were subjected to a ban on residing in the respective municipalities of Trapani and Erice, with a prohibition on leaving their homes during the night hours.
