Four arrests made in 2008 Adrano murder case

Police carried out a preventive custody order in prison against four alleged members of a mafia clan who were arrested for the murder of Alfio Neri, 39 years old, killed in Adrano on August 15, 2008 while riding his scooter in the historic center of the town. The man was shot by two pistols, a .65 and a .38 caliber. Two years earlier, on May 25, 2006, Neri had been the victim of another attack: he was injured in the shoulder while the man with him, Francesco Coco, then 35 years old, was shot in the leg. It was hypothesized that the target of the attackers was not him. Two of the four suspects are also accused, in collaboration, of another murder: that of Francesco Rosano, 37 years old, killed on January 18, 2008, also in Adrano. The man, who worked in a car dealership, was shot dead by two hitmen in a car, who shot him several times with a 9mm pistol, killing him instantly. The mobile squad of the Catania Police and the Adrano Police Station executed a custody order issued by the judge at the request of the Prosecution, which coordinated the police investigation.
