Fire on scooter causes traffic jams and delays in Palermo’s Viale Regione Siciliana

Disruption and chaotic traffic in Viale Regione Siciliana, Palermo, due to the fire of a scooter on the road at the corner between the seafront and Corso Calatafimi, towards Trapani. According to a preliminary reconstruction by the provincial command, the scooter suddenly caught fire, probably due to a short circuit. The driver got off before the fire broke out, after the scooter stopped. No one was injured. The high flames from the scooter scared the drivers, who alerted the firefighters, who arrived after a few minutes, but the traffic was heavily slowed down.
