Fire in apartment in Palermo, firefighters intervene: residents safe

An fire broke out in an apartment on Colonna Rotta street in Palermo. Two fire squads intervened to extinguish the fire in the first floor residence. There were no injuries reported; the residents were able to evacuate before the fire squads arrived. There were no structural damages reported but the smoke from the fire affected several rooms in the apartment. The operations concluded after an hour. The emergency medical services and the police also intervened.
