Fatal incident in Marsala, victim a 61-year-old Romanian: dramatic dynamics
The motorcyclist who died in a road accident yesterday evening (April 29) in Marsala was 61 years old. C.A., the initials of the victim, was of Romanian nationality. He died in a terrible crash in the Torrelunga Puleo district, in the upper part of the city, an area with long straight stretches and sharp curves.
The Romanian, riding a motorcycle, was reportedly traveling at a high speed when he suddenly lost control of the vehicle after overtaking a car, ending his run against another vehicle that was approaching. The impact was unavoidable and the victim flew several meters before falling onto another car.
The man died on the spot. The intervention of the emergency medical service, called by a off-duty carabinieri who was passing by, was futile: the rescuers could only confirm the death. The man’s body is in the morgue of the Marsala cemetery.
