Fatal accident in Porto Empedocle, driver from Realmonte investigated for vehicular homicide

A 45-year-old resident of Realmonte has been placed under investigation in connection with the accident that resulted in the death of Gianluca Lombardo. The collision occurred on November 19th near Lido Marinella in Porto Empedocle. The man in question was driving a Dacia Duster, which collided with the Fiat Seicento in which the 26-year-old victim was traveling. The prosecutors in Agrigento are considering charges of vehicular manslaughter and negligent personal injury. The man has been placed under investigation to ensure that he has the opportunity to participate in technical examinations with his own trusted consultants. The examinations will primarily focus on the vehicles involved, both of which were seized following the accident. Additionally, the mobile phones of the 45-year-old and Lombardo have also been seized.
