A fatal accident occurred on Viale Regione Siciliana in Palermo. A 23-year-old named Gaetano Puccio lost his life in a collision involving two cars. He was a passenger in a Fiat Punto driven by a 40-year-old from Carini. After impacting a Fiat Sedici driven by a 50-year-old, the vehicle hit a public lighting pole and overturned. The young man sustained serious injuries and died at the scene, while the driver was taken to the hospital with critical conditions. The other driver was also hospitalized, but his condition is not serious. Police are investigating the incident and have seized the vehicle while conducting alcohol and drug tests on the driver. Firefighters extracted the body from the wrecked car, and surveillance footage is being reviewed to reconstruct the sequence of events.
