Employee of Amat attacked by a shopkeeper due to illegally parked car in Palermo.
Two employees of Amat, the company that manages public transport in Palermo, were attacked in front of the headquarters on Via Roccazzo just for asking to move a car that was parked in a restricted area. The attacker was reportedly a local merchant, where the driver who had parked the car in front of the company’s entrance was located.
After the car was moved, the merchant confronted the two employees. After an initial exchange of words that were anything but polite, the attacker began to beat the two employees, who were then taken to the hospital. One of them is under observation for a serious head injury. The company has filed a complaint against the attack, and law enforcement are trying to identify the merchant to charge him with assault.
