Elderly woman dies in Gangi after brush fires ignited

An 83-year-old woman named Giuseppina Barbieri died in a fire at her countryside in Gangi. She and her husband were burning some brush on their land when she became overwhelmed by smoke and ended up on the burning pile of brush. Her husband attempted to put out the fire, but was unsuccessful. The fire department, medical personnel, and the police were called to the scene. After a medical examination, her body was returned to the family for funeral arrangements.
