Elderly man injured and robbed at home, arrest in Trapani

In Mazara del Vallo, the Carabinieri have arrested a 25-year-old man accused of robbing an elderly man in his home. The 88-year-old pensioner woke up in the night to noises in his house and found the robber in his kitchen. The young man threatened him with a kitchen knife, demanding money and valuables. The elderly man fought back and the attacker injured him before fleeing with 50 euros. The Carabinieri were called and the elderly man provided a detailed description of the attacker. The young man was arrested and taken to the Trapani prison.
