Death of boy victim of aggression, King (Mig): “Disturbing incidents and social spies not to be underestimated”

“The death of the young Tunisian man who was a victim of a brutal beating on July 4th in Via Maqueda is certainly a disturbing and worrying episode that unfortunately adds to the many acts of ordinary madness that are increasingly frequent in a city that has become a theater of antisocial behavior.” This was stated by Natalia Re (in the photo), president of the Italian Movement for Kindness, commenting on the news of the death of young Moataz Derbeli, who had been hospitalized for 12 days after being hit multiple times, even while on the ground.

“Episodes like these,” she adds, “are of an ever more unheard-of and ferocious violence and are social signs that must not be underestimated because they testify to the deviance of a society that has gone beyond all boundaries of humanity and reasonableness. A serious reflection is needed because we cannot pretend that nothing is happening in the face of these acts that represent signals of a more widespread discomfort that involves younger generations and manifests itself with antisocial behavior. Discomfort that sometimes originates or simply does not find space for expression in the family environment but through violence translates discontent and problems into illicit behaviors. In expressing solidarity and closeness to the family as Mig – she concludes – we reaffirm our commitment to promoting processes of emotional literacy and are ready to collaborate with institutions to launch memoranda of understanding and communication projects for a correct education starting from schools because that is where the young people of the future are formed.”
