Cycling race attracts large number of competitors in Cinisi for Libertas Trophy

The II edition of the Trofeo Libertas Contrada San Giovanni race will take place on September 17 in Cinisi, Italy. There will be 89 competitors participating in the event, which is organized by the ASD Memorial Giorgio and under the auspices of Libertas. The race will be part of the Interprovincial Championship Libertas Sicilia Occidentale and will be held on a 1.8 km circuit near the Cinisi motorway junction. The circuit features several false flats and a challenging final climb towards the finish line. The race will consist of 25 laps for the Under category and 20 laps for the over 45 category. The first edition of the race was won by Raffaele Moschitta and Giuseppe Calagna in their respective categories. The first heat is scheduled to start at 9:00 am, with the second heat planned for 10:30 am. The organizer, Raffaele Moschitta, describes the circuit as beautiful but challenging, with subtle inclines that will test the competitors’ endurance. Due to the successful reception of the first edition, the race was brought back for a second year.
