Crackdown on parked motorcycles in Catania, 143 fines issued by traffic police

The operation was carried out by three patrol units from the traffic department, who first operated on Via Fava, Via Androne, and Via Pola, issuing 45 tickets to scooters and motorcycles parked on sidewalks. They then moved to Via Vittorio Emanuele, Piazza dei Martiri, Via di Sangiuliano, Viale Jonio, Piazza Galatea, Via Umberto, Via Cappuccini, and Viale XX Settembre, issuing fines to 56 motorcycles parked on sidewalks. Finally, the local police patrols moved to the area of Via Caronda, Via Androne, Piazza Santa Maria di Gesù, Piazza Horacio Majorana, and Via Battiato, where they issued 42 fines for unauthorized parking on sidewalks for as many two-wheeled vehicles. On this occasion, it was also necessary to tow two vehicles that were obstructing traffic flow.
