Catania youth in Enna foils robbery attempt; Carabinieri arrest attacker

A 38-year-old man from Catania, who was already known to the police, has been arrested for robbery. Carabinieri officers spotted a Lancia Y car in the middle of the road with its front doors open while on patrol at night in via Domenico Tempio. Two men were found fighting on the sidewalk near the car, and one of them was holding a knife. The carabinieri intervened, apprehended both men, and recovered a gun from inside the car. It was revealed that the 27-year-old victim had been assaulted by the 38-year-old, who intended to rob him. The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries and subsequently discharged with a 7-day prognosis for a head injury. The arrested man faces charges of robbery and assault.
