A near tragedy occurred in the province of Agrigento. A car caught fire along the state road 122 Canicattì Nord near the junction of Serradifalco. According to an initial reconstruction, the driver, an employee of Enel, was traveling in the car, a white Fiat, when he noticed something was wrong in the middle of the journey.

He decided to immediately stop the vehicle and get out of the car, which was engulfed in flames in a few minutes. The owner of the car himself alerted the emergency services. The firefighters of the Canicattì detachment arrived on the scene and extinguished the flames that developed from the engine compartment and secured the entire area. The causes of the fire are currently unknown.

No one was injured, but traffic in the area was affected.
