Car flips on Palermo-Catania highway near Termini Imerese: woman seriously injured.

Another accident on the Palermo-Catania highway. A woman was seriously injured this morning after the car she was traveling in with a man overturned a few kilometers before the Termini Imerese exit, towards the Sicilian capital. The woman was assisted by the 118 personnel and transported to the Salvatore Cimino hospital in Termini: her condition is serious and the prognosis is reserved.

The accident occurred this morning around 10 am. For reasons still to be verified, the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle and first hit the guardrail, then bounced to the center of the roadway.

The firefighters intervened to extract the two drivers from the car. Investigations by the Buonfornello highway police. Another accident, always on the Palermo-Catania and at the height of Trabia, had occurred shortly before, with a car that had crashed into the guardrail: one person was injured non-seriously.
