Caltabellotta: 1,500 meters of public electrical cables stolen, several areas in darkness

A theft of 1,500 meters of copper cables in Caltabellotta, in the province of Agrigento, caused at least twenty thousand euros in damage. Unknown individuals tampered with the electrical network between the districts “Vigna grande” and “Torre rara”, leading to a blackout in a large part of the town. Enel workers, the company managing the damaged infrastructure, are working to restore the network. The Carabinieri are investigating the incident.
