Building collapses near Corso dei Mille in Palermo: empty with no injuries

Fear in Palermo for the collapse of a building in via Macello, near Corso dei Mille, in Romagnolo. The building, old and dilapidated, was fortunately unoccupied. The collapse did not cause any injuries. The fire department intervened on the scene to secure the area.

“The fall – writes the president of the second district, Giuseppe Federico, on his Facebook page – took away the Enel poles and some homes were left without power. We thank the Toba company for donating generators.”

The debris from the building ended up on the street and also caused traffic problems. The rescue teams, with the city workers, began to clean up the road, which was closed to allow for safe operations.
