Avola swimmer in difficulty off Pantanello beach: rescued and taken to hospital
Today, October 20th, the coast guard of Siracusa intervened to rescue a swimmer in difficulty off the coast of Pantanello beach in Avola. The man was rescued with the help of a nautical vehicle from a local club in Cicirata. When the vehicle arrived on land, they found military personnel from the beach delegation of Avola and a mobile operational unit from the 118 emergency service to whom the rescued swimmer was handed over for further medical treatment at the hospital in Avola.
