Ars, Schifani secures the budget with the Center-right and welcomes the opposition
The president of the Sicilian Region, Renato Schifani, has gathered the majority on the Financial Maneuver. Everyone agrees, according to Palazzo d’Orleans: no to autonomous amendments, but “shared and strategic”. The parliamentary groups of the center-right in the Sicilian Regional Assembly, therefore, according to the agreement, will not present autonomous amendments during the examination of the upcoming budget variations at the ARS. The strategy provides that it will be the “steering committee” of the majority to pre-evaluate the parties’ proposals and in case of government agreement, it will be the latter to officially deposit them. The decision was unanimously taken during the summit with the participation of the regional secretaries and group leaders of Forza Italia, Fratelli d’Italia, Lega, Mpa, and Nuova DC. “The meeting – emphasizes Schifani – took place in a climate of great collaboration and harmony. In the coming days, I will also meet with representatives of the opposition groups in the Assembly to examine any possible improvements to the financial maneuver. We are open to constructive dialogue, but it must be frank and honest”.
