Arrests made after attempting to steal two motorcycles near Palermo’s courthouse

The Carabinieri of the Palermo Centro station (pictured) arrested two men, aged 39 and 44, accused of aggravated theft and resistance and assault against a public official. The two were stealing motorcycles near the courthouse when they were apprehended shortly after. The 39-year-old, who was already under preventative measures, repeatedly struck the Carabinieri in an attempt to escape. The judge confirmed his arrest and ordered him to be held in custody. The other man is required to report to the judicial police. The stolen motorcycles have been returned to their owners.
