Another suspect arrested in anti-mafia blitz in Gela, had evaded capture

This morning the State police in Gela arrested Angelo Lorefice, 34 years old, who managed to escape arrest yesterday during the operation “Ianus”. The man was hit by the detention order in prison issued by the judge of the court of Gela against 55 people, at the request of the prosecutor of Caltanissetta, for the crimes of mafia association, fictitious ownership of assets, extortion, and drug trafficking. Offenses aggravated by the availability, among the associates, of weapons (also war weapons) and explosives.
