Ammunition found at home of army base worker in Catania, reported

Over 200 cartridges of various calibers and brands were found by the Carabinieri of the Wolves team of the provincial command of Catania during a search of the home, in the Pigno neighborhood, of a 60-year-old man in charge of clearing the shooting range, who was reported for illegal possession of ammunition. The investigations had started from the monitoring of the cartridges fired by the shooting range customers, from which the man had been noticed by the military leaving with some suspicious bags. During the activity, the Carabinieri found inside a wooden box on a kitchen cabinet a real arsenal composed of 109 Browning cartridges caliber 7.65, 24 Luger caliber 9, 39 G.F.L. caliber 9 x 21 in addition to various Winchester 9 x 21 projectiles, Smith & Wesson caliber 40 and Fiocchi caliber 12 lead bullets.
