Altavilla Milicia massacre: tools of the massacre found in house of horror
The horror is now revealed by the photos of the villa in Altavilla Milicia where Antonella Salamone and her two children, Kevin and Emanuel aged 16 and 5, were killed at the climax of a ritual that was supposed to free the family from a supposed demon possession. Disorder, traces of blood, pots, clothes, and Bible verses on the walls are the scene of the triple murder that the Carabinieri of the Ris di Messina analyzed in their last inspection a week ago.
An in-depth analysis, following the interrogation of the minor daughter of Giovanni Barreca, could confirm the investigative findings already acquired, as investigators no longer have doubts about who actually took part in the murders.
The directors of the executions were Sabrina Fina and Massimo Carandente, with Giovanni Barreca helping them in a mystical delirium in which he had fallen, while the minor daughter participated in the violence and managed to escape death.
The sequence of events has been reconstructed by the Ris through scientific evidence combined with the confession of the seventeen-year-old survivor before the preliminary hearing judge of the juvenile court, Nicola Aiello.
The photos confirm the dynamics and roles of the massacre: in the foreground, you can see the pots that were used to hit Barreca’s wife and the writings on the walls that the minor daughter would have added by hand. “I made the inscriptions”, the daughter of Barreca told the investigators. Massimo and Sabrina had told my father, and my father had told me; this happened before everything happened. They had said it would be important to read them.
The first to die – in an impromptu fire – was the mother, and the last was the brother Kevin, 16 years old, between 10 and 11 February. “Plates and other objects were burned up there with Mom’s body. The fire lasted for a few hours, but I don’t know how long.” Antonella, before losing her life, was repeatedly struck with a pot, probably one of those seized as shown in the photos. “I confirm the tortures,” the seventeen-year-old always speaks, “but I don’t know how my mother died, whether from a heart attack or when both my brother and I were kicking her. I kicked first and then Kevin, at that moment my mother did not react anymore. While being tortured, she could not eat or drink and when she was hit with the pot, she had a clear handcuff on her wrists.”
