Actor Aldo Puglisi dies in Catania, known for his role in “Seduced and Abandoned” with Sandrelli.

The actor Aldo Puglisi has passed away at the age of 89. He died at the hospital in Catania on July 19 due to lung complications caused by Covid. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 23 at 9:30 am in Piazza Santa Maria di Gesù in Catania. Puglisi was born on April 12, 1935 in Catania, his parents were both actors. He made his debut in cinema in the 60s, starring in important Italian films such as “Sedotta e abbandonata” by Pietro Germi and “Matrimonio all’italiana” by Vittorio De Sica. He worked with renowned directors such as Pier Paolo Pasolini, Renato Castellani, Lucio Fulci, and Lina Wertmuller. Puglisi also had a great love for theater and dedicated a significant part of his career to it. Among his many theater performances, he was involved in plays like “Il coraggio di un pompiere napoletano” and “La locandiera.” He also had roles in various TV films and his last performance was in “Segreti di Stato” in 2003.
