225 people stopped in Central Station Catania, for checks

The police in Catania conducted a check on 225 people, 48 of whom had previous police or judicial records, in the area of the central railway station and surrounding streets, with particular attention to the bus terminal area. They also checked 108 vehicles and issued 10 traffic violation tickets for lack of insurance and driving without a license, leading to the seizure of a vehicle. The operation involved officers from the central police station, railway police, and crime prevention units, as well as drug and explosive detection canine units. As part of the same service, home checks were carried out for 18 people subject to personal freedom limitations, all of whom were found to be at home.
