In Palermo, the mayor has won and there has been a reshuffle of assessors between the parties Fratelli d’Italia and Forza Italia. This comes after a long dispute between the two parties over the appointment of assessors. Fratelli d’Italia had initially gained an extra assessor, but the mayor wanted to balance the power in the government. After failed attempts to convince the mayor not to make changes, the melonian delegation had to accept the replacement. As compensation, the mayor offered positions to other parties, potentially causing new conflicts.
