Two forest rangers who were burned have been hospitalized at Civico: their conditions are serious.

Two foresters are hospitalized at the Civic Hospital of Palermo in the Burns Unit. The first one is Ciro Cavataio, a 61-year-old inspector of the Forest Service from Cinisi who lives in Partinico. He was involved in a work accident in Partinico and has second and third degree burns covering 40% of his body. The second forester is Rosario Tiversia, a 52-year-old who suffered burns of first and second degree during a fire in Bagheria this morning.
“Their conditions are serious and they are closely monitored,” says Enzo Guzzetta, the head of the Burns Unit at the Civic Hospital. “We have done everything we can to save them. They both arrived in critical condition. We will assess their conditions in the next 48 hours. At the moment, the prognosis is reserved.”
