To minimize the damage and lower the oxygen levels fueling the flames, a large amount of soil is being used. The president of Rap, Giuseppe Todaro, has arrived at the Bellolampo plant and is coordinating the interventions with the operators and technicians. Rap emphasizes the immense effort of the workers who are enduring extremely high temperatures and are not leaving the site to prevent further damage and avoid disrupting waste collection in the city. Therefore, the public is being asked not to dispose of waste in the bins from now until tomorrow. Todaro explains that they have been transporting soil and using their equipment to control the affected area. However, the situation is not simple due to the extreme temperatures, which facilitate the ignition of additional fires, making the work of the operators extremely challenging. Todaro expresses gratitude towards those who are working under such difficult conditions.
